HOW THE RACE WORKS
Quotes are the players.
The premise
Every token launched on Meteora's dynamic bonding curve is priced in some other token: the quote. Most launches quote in SOL, which tells you nothing. The interesting signal is the quote itself: how many new tokens choose to be priced in it, and how fast that number is moving.
So the game here is not to launch a token that goes up. It is to launch a quote, then get as many people as possible to pair their tokens against it. Each pairing is a point. The rate of points is your score. The rate of that rate is where the board gets interesting.
The numbers
- Pairings today: pools born in the last 24 hours whose quote is this token.
- Rate: pairings per hour, measured over the last six hours.
- Acceleration: the rate over the last six hours minus the rate over the six before, in pairings per hour per hour. Positive means the race is getting faster.
- Tail → short: the share of a quote's pairings that are under a day old. A quote nobody paired with for weeks that suddenly gets ten pairings today scores near 100%. That is the long tail becoming short, and it is the sort the board exists for.
- Creators: distinct wallets that created pools against the quote. One wallet spamming pairs counts once here.
SOL, USDC, USDT and USD1 are shown as a baseline when you ask for them, but they are never ranked. The race is for everything else.
Launching
- Launch a quote. A plain SPL mint with its own curve against SOL. It is quote-eligible the moment it lands, because Meteora lets any SPL mint be a quote. Share its race page.
- Pair against a quote. Pick any quote on the board, or paste any mint. Your token gets a fresh config and pool quoted in it. Token-2022 quotes need a Meteora token badge; SPL quotes just work.
Each launch is one v1 transaction: the platform derives and signs the pool config, your browser wallet pays rent and fees and signs the mint. Trading fees are 1%, split half to the creator and half to the platform, collected in the quote token. Graduation moves the pool to a DAMM v2 position with locked liquidity. Supply is one billion with authorities burned.
Where the data comes from
Meteora publishes every DBC pool with its quote, creator and birth time. The board indexes the newest pools continuously, groups them by quote mint and recomputes the standings every few seconds. Per-quote pages read the full history for that quote. Nothing is curated by hand.
